Utility charges are paid to the providers by the Housing Authority from Government funding, these funds must be replenished immediately, therefore, payment will be applied to utility charges prior to amounts owed for rent.
Utility allowances apply to income based tenants only. Tenants on flat rent are responsible for 100% of their utility usage at the rates indicated as well as:
Administrative Account Fee for Water: $2.00 per month
Trash Pick-up Fee: $19.44 per month
Once the applicable utility allowance has been exceeded, excess usage is billed according to the rates set by the utility provider:
Electricity: .1530592 per kilowatt hour
Sewer: .0250104 per gallon
Water: .0090918 per gallon
