Freezing Weather & Your HVAC System:
During times when the weather outside reaches 33 degrees or below, it is a good idea to switch your heat to Emergency/Auxiliary type heat in your apartment. This can be done by going to your thermostat and pushing the "Mode" button until the Emergency/Auxiliary setting is chosen. This will shut off your outside unit and run the heat strips located inside the apartment. Doing this will keep the outside unit from freezing up and possibly damaging the unit. Be sure to switch back to regular heat once temperatures have risen above freezing! If you have any questions about the performance of this operation please contact our office.
